A Belly Dance On Your Hen Night?

Ever thought of having a Belly Dancing hen night then why not check out our first ever guest blog.

Isis Dance offers fun taster sessions for hen parties at your own choice venue.  I will do demo dances and then the afterwards the ladies can learn to  dance and do a nice routine.  I never ‘make’ people dance as I think this is unprofessional but you will find even your shyest lady guest joins in once she sees what fun everyone else is having.   This enjoyable session will get your Hen evening off to a wonderful start.   Think of all the lovely and unique photos you will have of your special party.   If you need an official photographer I can arrange to recommend a local talented wedding and special events photographer.  I just ask for a deposit to secure the date.  Ladies and girls can borrow lovely jingly hip scarves for major shimmying.  The Hen can borrow my lovely silver Isis wings for some fantastic memorable photos.

The wonderful thing about belly dance is that it tones up all the muscles of the body not just the tummy.  A few examples - snake arms are perfect for getting rid of bingo wings, chest lifts are great for toning up the abs, and hip drops are brilliant for toning legs bums and tums. Any age or size or shape of lady can learn this lovely form of dancing.  It really does release that inner-goddess within us all.

Brides to be can come to my weekly classes and have a great workout to fantastic music.  It is a low-impact exercise but it really does work wonders for the figure.  It is much more fun than being on a boring treadmill or swimming lengths in a morning.  Some ladies dress up and others come in work-out type clothes – it is up to you.  No need to have a bare tummy if you do not want to.  Classes are small and friendly and it is consists of a mixed age group.   Beginners can join at any time of year.  I recognise that people have work, study, family commitments etc so I do not make people sign up for a course and pay for a block of lessons.  Classes are payable weekly.  There is the option to take exams but if ladies are coming for fitness and fun then they do not have to do exams.

Normally the bride and groom do a first dance and then a few people join in with a waltz type dance.  But then everyone disappears off the dance floor until a bit later. My latest venture is to offer the fun taster session at wedding receptions because belly dance can be done by anyone from the age of 3 years upwards.  And men can belly dance too.  The style of belly dancing would be suitable for all the family and even Nanna or your Great Aunty will not be shocked – in fact they will probably be first up on the dance floor!
